DRAW ON THE WALLS!

Taking a brief break (until later today) from the product reviewing to post these fun rooms with chalkboard painted walls.   I have been toying with the idea to use chalkboard paint on some of our walls…  My only worry would be whether or not my girls would realize they can’t draw on every wall,  just specific ones.   If painting an entire wall isn’t a commitment you want to make, or if it just isn’t an option, then maybe a smaller scale/less permanent choice like these wall graphics form Firm Living would be better.  Printed on adhesive backed vinyl, these work with chalk and can be applied/removed without damaging the wall.

CORK PEG

molo design, a collaborative design and production studio from Vancouver, Canada, have created the Cork Peg. I am interested to know how strong these actually are, with the magnetic system they use.  From Molo’s website they seem easy enough to use and very simple to move around.

“Cork peg is perfect for hanging jackets and sweaters or small tools and supplies.  The Cork peg comes with a magnetic mounting system. When an item is hung from the end of cork peg (like clothing), the total weight bearing capacity is 1.2kg (2.65 lbs); when an item is hung from the middle (like hobo lantern and bag or other small items) the weight bearing capacity is 2.2kg (4.85 lbs).”

GREAT WALLS | FIRM LIVING

Took a little sick time, but I am back with some fantastic wall inspiration.  Trine Andersen, the owner and chief designer of Ferm Living, often tries out their new products in her own home.    More than just her use of wall, I love her overall design of the space.   We are moving into a larger apartment in the coming weeks, and I am excited to push the potential of the walls in a more creative direction.
