I apologize to everyone for the lack of posts last week, it was a busy week of traveling to and from Chicago for work, with hardly any down time. I had one night with some time to explore and I had to pay my first visit to one of my all time favorite buildings, The John Hancock Building. The weather turned out beautiful all week so the views were amazing. I didn’t bring my camera on this trip (of course), so the only photos I took were a few with my phone. It was a great trip, but I am excited to get back in the action now that I’m home again.

If you will be in the area make plans to stop in at the Three Potato Four Barn Sale this summer. Starting July 30th + 31st and happening the last weekend of every month through October, it is well worth a visit. If you are not in the area, their website is full of interesting things and constant sales. Is there a Barn Sale near you? Post the info in the comments!

In the market for authentic vintage marquee letters? Then give Bay City Cargo a visit. Salvaging letters from almost anywhere imaginable, their shop is sure to have what you need to add a little character to your decor. The primarily sell through ebay but if you prefer a different method, contact them directly and they will be more than happy to help.

This photo, in a recent edition of Dwell, shows a simple screen saver with a giant flip clock. It wasn’t the point of the article, but I loved it immediately. In case anyone else did too, and would like to add a giant flip clock to their desktop, here is the link.
