BEND SEATING

Every time I see photos showing the chair designs coming out of Bend, it only makes me want them more.  I don’t even care which one, I just know I need an Orange one.

ARRé DESIGN AGENCY

Based in Rotterdam and founded in 2010, ARRé Design Agency specializes in contemporary furniture and home accessories.  I really like the nearly industrial style of their designs.  Interestingly, some of the interlocking components are reversible allowing you a little design freedom of your own.

STOKPERD FURNITURE

I really love the custom build furniture coming from Monya Eastman via her company Stokperd.  Her presentation and photography is also just as beautiful.  Browsing through her portfolio, her work is obviously designed and built not only to improve real life but also withstand it (a quality not always synonymous with “good design,” even though it should be).  Click below to see more of her amazing work, and of course pay her website a visit and see the rest.

Love this design for a writing desk by Alexander Lotersztain for Derlot Editions that was on display at this year’s Dwell on Design conference.

TRUCK FURNITURE

I am absolutely in love with the furniture coming out of Truck Furniture.  Founded by Tokuhiko Kise and Hiromi Karatsu in 1997, they design the kind of furniture that somehow breathes life.  With careful attention to materials, design, construction, and presentation, Truck goes to great lengths to produce quality furniture intended to last a long time.   Click below to see more of their amazing work (and photography), and pay their website a visit.  The catalogs are definitely worth a peak. Very well done.

UPCYCLED VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL | TWENTY GAUGE

I really appreciate Twenty Gauge‘s commitment to producing and preserving high quality classic designs.  I have always had a soft spot for vintage industrial furniture, and that’s why I was so excited to stumble upon Twenty Gauge this week.  I would love some of these pieces in our home and office.

“Building on more than a decade of experience, award winning Twenty Gauge is dedicated to the preservation and delicate art of steel furniture restoration. To this day, J.C.’s intuitive ability in reclaiming the hidden beauty within objects misrepresented or careworn, drives the company forward.”

To see more of their amazing products, or samples of their interior design work, pay their website a visit.
