I love these. Such a simple idea, but is solves a problem that is annoying, and wastes a bit of my time each day. I never have enough USB outlets for the amount of accessories I use on a daily basis. I feel like I’m constantly unplugging, trading, and plugging back in each time I sit down to do some work. Now I know this isn’t as serious an issue as ergonomics, or ADA, but searching around under your desk for the right chord and fishing it back up to where it belongs, can still be annoying, especially when in a hurry or with a client on the phone. Cable Drops from Blue Lounge help calm the chaos by providing a home for unused cables awaiting their next 15 minutes of fame. Easily mounted with an adhesive pad, they cling to any surface, vertical or horizontal, and remove easily. They can also be used to guide cables along a specific path, or hold them just out of sight. Any way you use them, they are a great and simple solution for missing or misguided cables.
Pros: Easy to apply, easy to remove, available in several colors, cheap, effective. Several come in a set, so one pack was all I really needed
Cons: I only found them recently

If this home was soem where nearby I would move in right now. I love the bold combination of color, textures, and patterns! And the outdoor spaces are just as inviting. The kitchen is the center of everything, with several smaller spaces supporting it. Its interesting that the lounge/living area happens between the kitchen and dining area. I had considered something similar with our apartment, so I would like to see how that setup works out in day to day family life.

Another fantastic home from Beloved Homes! Mia, Staffan, and their three boys call this townhouse built in 1963 home. The rules of the house are easy, hang up your coat and don’t eat on the couch. From our experience that is about as many rules as our kids can handle at a time. I love how open this house feels. Each room feels just large enough to allow multiple activities to happen at one time, but without losing the cozy intimate feel. The kids have rein over their own spaces, and there are a few spaces set aside for adult retreats. The balcony looks like an amazing place to pause and gather your parental strength. Once again I find myself being jealous of two things: a coat room (our apartment offers only a small, dark closet that is just not enough to house everything a family might need to venture outdoors in the Pacific Northwest), and a large enough hobby space to really spread out in. The kitchen seems to be the perfect size for a family of five. Whenever we are in ours (preparing meals, snacks, juice, or whatever else was on the menu) our girls seem to only want to hang around on the floor where they can play, watch, and possibly help with whatever is going on up at counter height.

Our girls would love a room like this. One thing our kids need is a bigger area for crafts and coloring, I don’t think a desk can be too big. I like the wooden ladder for animal storage (if we had that our girls would constantly need rescued from the top of it) , as well as the peg board for hanging toys and displaying artwork.
