INTERIORS | STOCKHOLM APARTMENT

I love the way the space is used in this tiny 230 sq.tf Stockholm apartment. The large window bays, lofted sleeping area, and high ceilings really help this apartment feel larger than it is. Even though it isn’t practical for our family, I have always appreciated the thought behind the space saving design of Ikea’s Fusion Table, and this is the perfect space for it. I have tested that table before, and once you get over the initial weirdness of sitting at the corners, it is actually very functional (if nothing else it will train you to keep your elbows off the table).

love the attic ladder to the loft. i always wonder what people with ‘kitchens’ like this eat?
You can always tell when a kitchen is really used and appreciated, even if its cleaned up. When they look a little too nice, I wonder how long they spent cleaning them for the pictures, and how long they stayed that way. After the little ones are in bed we catch up on each of our days while we clean, so our kitchen looks pretty nice for the last few hours of the day. But it doesn’t take long the next morning to look like a hurricane hit again.
man, that table was the first thing i noticed. genious!
Yeah I really like the table. It would be weird seeming, I think, in any space where it wasn’t necessary (someplace big enough for a more typical table style) but it works beautifully here. When the chairs are all pushed in it has a nice solid look that normal tables/chairs don’t have. I would like to see how four people interact at a table like that, too see if it would change normal table habits. The main reason it wouldn’t work at our house is because we would need two more chairs.
