FAMIILY CLUBHOUSE | TORONTO
Published on Tuesday, July 5 2011
Featured recently in Dwell, this home lived its previous life as dairy before being transformed into a family clubhouse by Architect John Tong. The century old building provided a great set of structural bones to work from, and I love the freedom of the open plan (something I have come to appreciate as our family continues to grow). The old industrial building is perfectly suited for constant adaptation as the family lives and grows in it, and is already filled with re-purposed treasures and experimental ideas. Having three children of my own I can relate to the need for space and the ability to expand, and after reading this article I wish I had an old factory of my own.
