LIVABLE SPACES

I always love what I see in the pages of dwell, both the magazine and the website version. But as I read through all of the articles and let my mind wander into the inspirational spaces, I can’t help but think that either the space wouldn’t survive my family, or my family wouldn’t survive the space. There is usually something for everyone thought, and I’ll often come across homes and spaces that look so perfectly lived in I could pack up and move on the spot. Even if some details are not what I would prefer, I can see the mark of a what makes a house a home: a family has lived and breathed and thrived there, and made the space its own. These are the places I can enjoy, and enjoy being in. Now, I realize not everyone is like me (thankfully) and not every family like mine. But I think what we can appreciate together is a space that’s really used well, and used thoroughly. As a thanks to Dwell, their photographers, and writers for the inspiration, I thought I would reminisce over some of my favorite livable, and lived in spaces featured over the years. If you can think of some too, post a link, I’d love to see.
